Watercolour – Playing with light
I had an early start today. I planned on what I should paint and went upstairs to my studio. I pinned down my paper and as I started sketching the basic forms, I imagined my value sketch in parallel; I didn’t do it separately. Once I was happy with what I did, I started my painting process. It was a very random, but an enjoyable one as always! Started with the areas of light and drifted into the darker areas. Splattered randomness all over and I love how my painting turned out to be.
As you can see, it’s not a complicated painting. My focus is to enjoy the process and also, to get used to large papers.
I also have an exciting update (Not related to the previous post).
I got my Escoda brushes from Jacksons! So happy.
I can’t wait to try them out. I’d use them when I paint my next artwork!
Oh wait, here’s a small video snippet of the art that I did today. Hope you enjoy it ^_^
